Reporting Tools

UCSB Data Warehouse - a central repository of institutional data for reporting and analytics. The repository includes information from several transaction systems, such as financial, payroll, human resources, space and equipment. Users can access standard reports with EZ Access or customize queries with Hyperion.

EZ Access - the tool for users to run standard reports with sort and filter features. Users can view the reports in a browser or export as Excel or PDF files. The reports include information from several campus transaction systems and also data from the system- wide UCPath. To obtain an EZ Access account or to suggest a new report, please visit the UCSB IT Services to submit an electronic request.

Power BI - an analytics tool that can connect data from many sources to create interactive dashboards and reports. Users can view standardized reports and explore data for business insights. UCSB has a campus-wide license for Power BI and anyone with an active UCSBnetID and password can sign in to the Power BI Service through a web browser. However, to populate results, you will need to request data access and enroll in multi-factor authentication (MFA).

UC Path Cognos Reports - UC’s priority program to implement a single payroll, benefits, human resources, and academic personnel solution for all UC employees.
