The Office of Financial Training is staffed by three dedicated training professionals. We embrace a collaborative approach to training and interface frequently with subject matter experts in key areas such as the Office of Research, Business and Financial Services (BFS), and Information Technology Services (ITS).
Sandra Featherson

Sandra has over 28 years of experience at UCSB. Prior to stepping into the Director of Training role, she served as Deputy Athletic Director, CFO for Intercollegiate Athletics. As the Associate Director of Controls (BFS), Sandra provided training on various topics for the Financial Management Certificate Program, led several projects reviewing different financial systems, and oversaw several units in Business and Financial Services. She also served as the Director of BARC and as a Financial Analyst.

A proud alumni of UCSB, Brandon has nearly 9 years of experience at the university. He brings experience with learning and development, building training programs, and developing curricula from scratch. An entrepreneur and coach, Brandon has built systems and facilitated many learning journeys that successfully achieved pre-identified learning outcomes for individuals and diverse groups. When not focused on learning and development, training, and coaching, Brandon engages in a variety of hobbies.
